With Wienand forced into hiding, Veritus took control and began to consolidate power.
A Desperate Gamble
Meanwhile, the Ork siege of Port Sanctus had reached a critical point. Admirals Lansung, Acharya, and Price rallied their forces for a desperate attack against the Ork Attack Moon. Despite being outmatched, the Imperials fought bravely, exploiting weaknesses in the Ork defenses. The battle was fierce, with both sides suffering heavy losses. However, the Imperials managed to destroy the Attack Moon, lifting the siege of Port Sanctus.
The Proletarian Crusade
As the Orks expanded their campaign across the galaxy, the Imperium was thrown into chaos. On Terra, panic erupted as an Ork Attack Moon appeared in orbit. With the majority of Battlefleet Solar deployed elsewhere or destroyed, the planet was left defenseless. A Doomed Crusade
The Proletarian Crusade was launched with minimal planning, and thousands of civilian craft rushed towards the Attack Moon. Despite suffering heavy losses, the Imperials managed to land millions of troops and equipment on the moon’s surface. However, the Orks manipulated the planetoid’s surface, crushing the invading army beneath enclosing mountains.
A Shocking Twist
In the aftermath of the disastrous Proletarian Crusade, a surviving Crusade ship landed on Terra, carrying an Ork ambassador who spoke Gothic. The ambassador, Bezhrak, demanded the surrender of Terra, leaving the High Lords speechless and unable to respond. As the Orks threatened to destroy the capital, Eldar vessels appeared over the Imperial Palace, setting the stage for a new and unexpected development in the war.
