The Enigmatic Silent King
Szarekh, the last ruler of the Necrontyr and Necron empires, is a figure shrouded in mystery. Born into the Szarekhan Dynasty, he was destined for greatness, but his reign would be marked by turmoil and transformation.
A Desperate Alliance
As the Necrontyr empire struggled against the Old Ones, Szarekh made a fateful pact with the C’tan, trading his people’s mortality for the promise of power. The Necrons were reborn, their bodies forged from living metal, but at a terrible cost: their souls were bound to the whims of the C’tan.
Rebellion and Exile
Szarekh soon realized that his people had become mere pawns in the C’tan’s game of cosmic manipulation. He led a revolt against his former masters, shattering their hold on the Necrons. However, with the Old Ones defeated and new threats emerging, Szarekh knew that his people were not yet ready to reclaim their place among the stars. He ordered the Necrons to withdraw into their Tomb Worlds, there to slumber for 60 million years, awaiting the perfect moment to reassert their dominance.
The Lonely Vigil
Szarekh, however, did not join his people in their long sleep. He destroyed the command protocol that allowed him to control the Necrons and set out into the void, seeking solace and penance for his role in dooming his own race. For millions of years, he wandered, accompanied only by his loyal Szarekhan Dynasty and the weight of his memories.
The Return of the Silent King
In 744.M41, Szarekh ended his self-imposed exile, drawn back to the galaxy by the threat of the Tyranids. He found a changed universe, where his people were threatened on all sides. With a newfound determination, Szarekh set out to unite the Necrons against their enemies and reclaim their lost glory.
The Dias of Dominion
Szarekh wields the Sceptre of Eternal Glory, a powerful artifact imbued with the essence of the Burning One. He rides into battle atop the Dias of Dominion, flanked by his fellow Triarchs, Hapthatra and Mesophet. Together, they command the loyalty of the Necrons and strike fear into the hearts of their foes.
