The Unstoppable Onslaught of the Ork Warboss
In the grim darkness of the 32nd millennium, the Imperium of Man faced its greatest challenge since the Horus Heresy. The Ork Warboss, known only as “The Beast,” united his kind and unleashed a devastating Waaagh! upon the galaxy. This titanic conflict, dubbed the “War of the Beast,” would shake the foundations of humanity and test the mettle of its defenders.
Initial Contact: The Battle of Ardamantua
The first signs of trouble emerged on the planet Ardamantua, where the Imperial Fists Shield Company clashed with the Chromes, insectoid aliens fleeing from the Ork onslaught. As the Chromes launched a desperate attack on the Imperial lines, the planet was wracked by gravitational storms and geological disturbances. The Imperial Fists were decimated, their fleet lost, and Chapter Master Cassus Mirhen fell in battle.
The Imperium’s Response
Realizing the gravity of the situation, a rescue operation was dispatched to Ardamantua, led by Lord Commander Militant Heth and the remaining Imperial Fists. However, their efforts were soon thwarted by the arrival of an enormous Ork planetoid, which materialized in orbit and laid waste to the reinforcement fleet.
The Ork Onslaught
As the months passed, it became clear that the Ork threat was not limited to a single Attack Moon. Swarms of unusually large and vicious Greenskins spread across Segmentum Solar, swallowing up entire systems, sub-sectors, and sectors. Billions perished, and the Imperium teetered on the brink of collapse.
Disaster and Disarray
The High Lords of Terra bickered among themselves, providing no leadership during the crisis. Grand Admiral Lansung refused to cooperate with the Imperial Guard, instead gathering his fleet at the Glaucasian Gulf for unknown reasons. Meanwhile, cults dedicated to worshiping the Beast sprang up, and millions succumbed to madness.
A Glimmer of Hope
In the midst of this chaos, a small band of heroes emerged. Black Templars Marshal Bohemond embarked on a quest to reunite the scattered Successor Chapters of the Imperial Fists. Koorland, the last surviving Imperial Fist, enacted the “Last Wall” protocol, seeking to reunite the Successor Chapters into a Legion once more.
The Road to Recovery
As the Imperium struggled to survive, a glimmer of hope appeared on the horizon. The Iron Knights responded to the call, and the Soul Drinkers, though unreachable, remained a potential ally. The stage was set for a desperate struggle against the Ork Warboss and his minions. The fate of humanity hung in the balance, and the outcome was far from certain.
