Welcome back, fellow enthusiasts of the Warhammer 40,000 universe! Today, we continue our exploration into the exciting and brutal world of the Death Skulls and the Evil Suns.
Our journey begins with Guts Bag Gra, a Death Skulls legend. Known for his daring and exceptional skill at liberating vehicles from their unsuspecting crews, Gra’s legend grew exponentially when he reportedly captured an Imperial Titan, turning its destructive might upon the very Imperium that spawned it.
Within the Death Skulls clan, the balance between chaos and order is a fascinating dance. Those who can tame their wild nature might ascend to the esteemed role of a Mech. These Orcs have an uncanny knack for determining the usefulness of any scrap or junk they come across, assembling from them gadgets that would leave any tech-priest green with envy.
A Death Skull Orc with the focus and attention to become a Mech garners a high status within the clan. Their love for technology spans from simple Shooters to colossal war machines. Known for their knack in crafting lethally comical weapons from virtually any Imperial or xenos weapon, their reputation precedes them. It should be noted that the clan also harbors many cunning and resourceful Gretchin, who prove their worth in looting and trading advanced stolen gear.
Our narrative takes an abrupt turn at the roar of bikes. The Evil Suns, distinguished by their red motorcycles adorned with their emblem – a grinning orc face surrounded by black sunrays, speed past the Death Skulls workshop. They are speed incarnate, addicted to the rush of the wind and the roar of engines, only stopping when they crash into a wall or run out of fuel! Their obsession with speed is only rivaled by their obsession with the color red.
The Evil Suns’ fixation with red links back to an ancient Orc ritual of painting their mounts with their enemies’ blood. Some lore suggests that this sanguine devotion is a homage to a blood ritual performed to appease the Red Sun of their original home world. Regardless of its origin, the color red has ingrained itself deeply into the Orc psyche, achieving near-reverential status among the Evil Suns.
The Evil Suns stand out even among other Orcs for their insatiable thirst for speed. They aim to traverse the battlefield as quickly and loudly as possible, slamming into enemy ranks and causing bloody carnage, before flooring the gas pedal towards the next fray. Their adept drivers and pilots rival the skill of the Imperial Navy or the Astra Militarum’s tank crews.
The Evil Suns’ total mechanization sometimes poses a challenge to the Imperium, as most Imperial technology just can’t keep pace with their enhanced bikes, war buggies, or trucks. The Evil Suns, born racers, care little for anything that doesn’t involve fast and loud rides. They’re a roaring red wave on the battlefield, sweeping everything in their path.
The Evil Suns are also known for their constant modification and retrofitting of their vehicles. More powerful engines, more deadly weapons, all for the sake of racing and warfare, often joining the Cult of Speed, one of the largest and most popular orc subcultures. The Warboss of the Evil Suns, Grugach, is particularly renowned in this cult.
Stay tuned as we delve deeper into the exciting world of Warhammer 40,000 in our next installment. Until then, keep your Shooters loaded and your engines ready!
