In the vast and unending universe that is Warhammer 40,000, there exists an elite unit that has etched their name in the annals of the cosmos. Known for their flawless marksmanship, this unit gained renown during the Great Crusade, hunting and annihilating the most fearsome of xenos. Their victories were often marked by the explosive end of an enemy’s tank, as their precision lascannon volleys ignited fuel and ammunition, tearing apart the armored beasts.
Our story takes us to a pivotal moment during the assault on the Theta 3 dock. The famed White Scars, in their rhino tanks, faced a meticulously planned attack. The enemy, armed with molten plasma and crackling volkite beams, had carefully set up kill zones designed to obliterate the legionnaires as they disembarked from their disabled tanks. The initial assault razed dozens of the valiant White Scar warriors within mere minutes.
The battle’s intensity was unmatched within the main hangar of the Theta 3 dock. Zagen Khan, leading a vanguard of veteran legionnaires, pressed forward, against the Emperor’s Children’s fortifications. These traitorous foes had erected a labyrinth of barbed wire traps, barricades, and makeshift bastions, creating deadly bottlenecks and dead ends. Any brave soul penetrating this death maze was met with a barrage of fatal fire.
Despite the harsh odds, the White Scars did not falter. Aware of the importance of this battle to the Emperor’s Children, the loyalist fleet fought with unmatched fervor. The recently arrived warriors of Tritus Casan, abandoning their positions, launched a furious counter-attack, pushing the enemy back.
Eventually, the battle for the vacant dock of Theta 3 devolved into chaotic skirmishes. Yet, the numerical superiority of the Emperor’s Children steadily pushed the White Scars back, threatening them with total defeat. Zagen Khan, sensing this intensifying counterattack, knew his warriors would soon be pushed back to the landing pads, and potentially cast into the void of space.
However, the diversionary tactics of the fifth Legion bought enough time for the Storm Riders warship to deploy a second wave of landing craft. This forced several squads of the Emperor’s Children to divert their attention, leaving their positions vulnerable. From the darkness of these newly arrived crafts emerged the fiercest warriors of the White Scars—the Dark Suns of Death, the Kog’An’La.
Feared and shunned by their own, the Kog’An’La were only deployed in the direst of circumstances. Their savage and unrestrained way of warfare unsettled their fellow warriors, their thirst for total annihilation a chilling reminder of the dread World Eaters of Angron. These warriors fought not only for the physical destruction of their enemies but also sought to annihilate them spiritually.
The Dark Suns of Death charged into the fray, their glaives and talir swords tearing through the Emperor’s Children. The labyrinth the traitors had created became their own claustrophobic nightmare as the White Scar destroyers pushed forward. Even in the face of imminent death, the Emperor’s Children fought on, their arrogance refusing to bow to the savage fury of the White Scars.
As the dust settled, the once mighty Emperor’s Children were left decimated, their genetic seeds rendered useless by the chemical onslaught of the Kog’An’La. The Theta 3 dock, once a formidable fortress, became a testament to the relentless fury of the White Scars and the savage prowess of the Kog’An’La.
