The Siege of Clla 4: The Tale of Warsmith Marcus Nador & Narik ‘Grave Walker’ Drer
In the icy grip of Clla 4, a war of epic proportions was being waged. Despite the relentless blizzards and shrieking winds, the cacophony of battle was deafening. The inhabited parts of this frost-bitten planet echoed with the hiss of Lasguns, their brilliant bolts illuminating the snowy void. Archaic bolters barked alongside the menacing roar of cannons and artillery, their combined symphony of destruction reverberating through the icy desolation.
Against this snowy backdrop, the Iron Warriors emerged, their sudden appearance igniting brief spasms of panic amongst the ranks of the Imperial Guard. Yet, the commissars were swift to quell their fears, and the siege continued to press forward.
At the helm of this onslaught was Warsmith Marcus Nador, a formidable figure of war. His discontent, however, was palpable. Not for the hundreds of mortal slaves who succumbed to the biting chill, but rather their failure to dig sufficient trenches before their demise. His irritation was further fueled by the unfulfilled promise of the Alpha Legion operatives who had vowed to obliterate the enemy’s artillery within a day.
Warsmith Nador was a complex soul. His hatred for all living things intensified when plans went awry. He found himself relating to Narik Drer, who sought refuge among the soulless automatons of the Legio Cybernetica. Once a respected commander of the 114th Grand Battalion of Iron Warriors, Narik Drer, now known as Grave Walker, had risen from the ashes of his mortal demise.
Betrayed and left for dead at Istvan 5 by a Moritat from the Raven Guard, Narik Drer found an unexpected ally in the Oal Arron, a clandestine society within the Iron Warriors. Collaborating closely with the Mechanicum, they restored the crippled warrior with cybernetic enhancements, resurrecting him as the consul-pravan, Grave Walker.
However, his return to the world of the living marked a significant shift in his allegiance. Grave Walker distanced himself from his former brothers, preferring the company of his newly formed metal and ceramite brethren. An unexpected betrayal during an operation on Epsilon Stanari 9 with the Alpha Legion and the Death Guard further solidified his resolve for revenge.
On the blood-soaked plains of Maoa, Grave Walker found an unexpected ally in Cassian Dracos, the Lord Commander of the Salamander Legion. Rumored to have the ability to influence the construct mechanics of the Mechanicum, Draco, in a surprising twist of fate, swayed Grave Walker to his side. Together, they delivered a crushing blow to the Alpha Legion, fulfilling Grave Walker’s vow of revenge.
After the battle, Grave Walker retreated into solitude, often seen in the company of his cybernetic creations. His tale is a poignant reminder of the complexities of loyalty, betrayal, and revenge in the grim darkness of the Warhammer 40,000 universe.
