Why Did Necrons Turn Their Worlds into Tombs? – Part 10

Title: Warhammer 40,000: The Immortal Legions and Necron Dynasty Saga

In the vast cosmos of Warhammer 40,000, colossal stasis vessels depart every 33 weeks from Sedan’s shipyards, propelling stars and guiding the immortal legions towards uncharted planets. This is the intriguing prelude to our multi-part series, and today we delve deep into the mysteries of the Blackstone Pylons and the Necron Dynasty Saga.

The enigmatic Bisaria Call, the revered custodian of the Blackstone Pylons, harbors an insatiable desire to accumulate more Blackstone, a resource known to be abundant on Necron Tomb worlds. One such world, Amont 2, an arid Imperial Forge world, mirrors Mars in more than one way. The world has been the focal point of Call’s interest since the unveiling of the Great Rift.

An expedition led by Margos Dominus Dentrix Ostion was dispatched to Amont 2 by the Adeptus Mechanicus. Their mission was to uncover the origins of the mysterious rock and to calculate the extent of its presence. The Blackstone, they discovered, was a vestige of ancient Necron ruins, concealing a tomb that would narrate a grim tale for the defenders of Amont 2.

In a bid to obliterate all Necron structures from orbit, the Mechanicus ships prepared for a destructive onslaught. Their superficial victory was short-lived as the destruction of the Blackstone structures left Amont 4 vulnerable to warp invasions. A vibrant warp rift materialized in the sky, expanding ominously. It’s a known occurrence that tomb worlds are prone to demonic control as exemplified by the Alep Dynasty and their Crown World of Culos.

Fast forward to the dawn of the 40th Millennium, the inhabitants of Culos, now under the rule of the demon prince Boilore, awoke to a desolate planet. A fierce battle ensued amongst the awakened Necrons of the Altp Dynasty. The Necrons were annihilated by the demons and their remnants were submerged in metallic skulls within the planet’s icy core where Boilore continues to reign, indifferent to the sacrifices offered to him.

The Kanu Dynasty stands out as a significant rebellion against the Triarch’s decision for biotransference. The Prince Rxan, who earned the title of Fon for his betrayal of his kin, led the Necron forces that suppressed the rebellion. The aftermath was tragic – the Kanu Dynasty was reduced to expendable cannon fodder, leading Rakan to join Sarak in the destruction of the Katan. The sole survivor was Faon Raxan, who vowed to avenge the Katan and imprison every Shard.

The Neocar Dynasty, famous for the Tomb World of Boris, or as the Imperium named it, the World Engine, was a colossal Necron mechanism capable of scouring planets of all life. Despite multiple attempts by a task force of 15 Space Marine chapters and the Imperial Navy, this behemoth of a weapon remained undamaged and caused catastrophic losses.

In the Orus sector, the Val Dynasty claimed the planet Hydrog Gast, a crucial resource hub for human survival. Now devoid of human life, the planet’s vast agro complexes continually harvest resources from the boundless oceans to sustain many distant worlds.

Stay tuned as we explore more of the gripping tales of the immortal legions, Necron dynasties, and the enigma of the Blackstone Pylons in our upcoming series!
