What happened with Primarchs before Emperor found them? – Part 2

Title: The Tale of the Primarch Fulgrim: A Legendary Saga from Warhammer 40,000

Greetings, fellow lore seekers! Today, we delve into an epic chapter from the rich tapestry of Warhammer 40,000 history. Our tale begins in the grim darkness of the universe, on the planet Caliban, where a great crusade was launched to exterminate the terrifying beasts that threatened the existence of the local populace. Spearheading this mission was none other than Lion, the Primarch of the Dark Angels.

However, not all was harmonious amongst the ranks. A faction within the Orders of Caliban did not align with Lion’s objective, choosing instead to protect these monstrous creatures. Yet, despite this internal discord, in a span of merely a decade, Lion achieved his daunting mission, leaving not a single beast alive on Caliban.

The dust had barely settled when an extraordinary event shook the planet – the arrival of the Emperor. As if perfectly timed, the pod of Fulgrim, the Primarch of the Third Legion, crashed onto the mineral-rich, yet food-scarce world of Kos. This planet, heavily reliant on external supplies for sustenance, was slowly dying, its inhabitants struggling to survive.

The hopes of Kos were reignited when a fiery meteor fell from the sky, crashing a mile from the city’s walls. The ruler of Calex, the largest remaining Fortress Factory on the planet, sent scouts to investigate the crash site. Amidst the remnants of a stasis pod, they discovered an infant. But this was no ordinary child. From the crash site, a source of pure water erupted, a resource more precious than gold on Kos.

The infant’s mere presence seemed to influence those around him. The captain of the scouts, captivated by the child’s extraordinary aura, defied the planet’s brutal traditions of abandoning orphans and pleaded with the ruler to protect the child. A brief skirmish ensued amongst the scouting party, but ultimately, the advocates for the child’s survival triumphed. The infant was christened Fulgrim, after one of the mythical gods of Kos, the water bringer.

Fulgrim’s arrival heralded a new era for Kos. He quickly outgrew the legends of the mythical god he was named after, astonishing his peers with his strength, intelligence, and resilience. Showing a deep understanding of technology and machinery, Fulgrim, at a tender age, began innovating and improving the tools of his world.

On the 15th anniversary of his landing, Fulgrim rose from a simple worker to the ruler’s engineer. Aware of the worsening condition of Kos and the impending doom of its population, Fulgrim pledged to stave off this collapse. Rallying the people of Kos, he led a squad of engineers on expeditions, founding new settlements, reopening old mines, and revitalizing the planet’s economy.

But Fulgrim’s vision extended beyond mere survival. He strove to restore the soul of Kos, reviving art, morality, and the human spirit. His tale is a testament to resilience and ingenuity, an enduring beacon of hope in the grim dark universe of Warhammer 40,000. Stay tuned for the next part of the series where we’ll delve deeper into the saga of Fulgrim and his extraordinary journey.
