In the heart of the tumultuous Nalus platform, Chapter Master Caner deftly avoided a lethal blow and retaliated with a swift slash at his enemy’s mid-section. The creature’s energy shield flickered but held firm, its power source a perplexing mystery. The origin of this energy seemed to be the hulking form of Snag Rod, the monstrous orc leader, but there was no time to ponder this as another swing of the orc’s dual axes almost claimed Caner’s head.
The Chapter Master was in a dance of death, trying to remain within the deadly arc of Snag Rod’s axes, yet seeking a chance to strike. An opportunity presented itself, and Caner, with a powerful thrust of his power fist, landed a blow that could obliterate most adversaries. Yet, the creature’s shield absorbed the impact without a flinch from Snag Rod, leaving Caner feeling as impotent as a child against a monstrous foe.
Distracted by the whirlwind of axes, Caner was caught off guard as Snag Rod landed a hefty kick that sent the Space Marine sprawling across the landing pad. Not wasting a moment, Snag Rod advanced, raising both chain axes high and brought them down with all his might. Caner’s reflexes kicked in, rolling away just in time as the axes bit into the platform, the air filled with the frustrated howl of their teeth gnashing into the rock.
Pedro Caner, now back on his feet, spotted an unusual device attached to Snag Rod’s belt. A gamble, but Caner’s instincts told him this was the source of the energy shield. With a swift thrust, his blade found its mark, passing through the energy shield to strike the device. A soft click, and the orc’s shield flickered off. But victory came at a cost – Snag Rod turned and struck Caner in the side, sending him flying again, fragments of his ceramite armor scattering in all directions.
Now vulnerable, the orc leader was a target for Caner’s pent-up fury and thirst for vengeance. His consciousness receded, giving way to primal, uncontrolled rage. With a war cry that echoed across the platform, the Chapter Master charged once again, the killer instinct overcoming all barriers.
The two clashed like titanic forces of nature. Snag Rod’s axes cleaved through the air, their engines howling greedily for blood. But Caner was a blur, ducking and weaving, his sword finally finding purchase in Snag Rod’s side. The orc roared in pain and fury, but the Space Marine avoided his grasp, pulling his sword free and showering the platform with hot, alien blood.
With relentless fury, Caner pursued the staggering orc. A power fist aimed for Snag Rod’s head was intercepted by a massive shoulder, the deltoid muscle tearing with a nightmarish sound, revealing bone and tendon. The orc wavered and fell to one knee. In a swift move, Caner kicked him down and raised his hand to strike the broad chest.
The orc’s iron grip caught the Power Fist, but Caner’s reaction was immediate. Thrusting forward his left hand, still clutching his blade, he aimed at the monster’s throat. Snag Rod, despite his pain, blocked the blow and wrested the sword from Caner’s grasp. Undeterred, Pedro roared and began to pummel the monster’s face with his ceramite gauntlet.
Blow after monstrous blow rained down on Snag Rod, shattering teeth, leaving deep bloody wounds, blinding him in one eye, and breaking his massive jaw. The orc, lying on his back, was barely able to hold back the unstoppable fury of the Space Marine.
With a final surge of strength, Snag Rod threw the master off and sprang to his feet. But Caner was far from done. His fury was unquenched, and he was ready for another round in this dance of death.
