What happened with Primarchs before Emperor found them? – Part 1

Title: “In the Depths of Caliban: The Emergence of Lion El’Jonson – A Warhammer 40,000 Lore”

In a cosmos strewn with celestial bodies, each carrying a piece of a perplexing puzzle, the Ruinous Powers cast the Emperor’s sons, the Primarchs, across the galaxy. Each Primarch ended up on a unique world, a world that would not only shape their personalities but also reflect their essence. This fascinating connection between the real world and the Warp, the realm of chaos, is a testament to the dependence of the Warp on the living, their emotions, thoughts, and ideas. Even the dark gods and all entities of the Immaterium are tethered to this principle.

One such Primarch, Lion El’Jonson, found himself in the death world of Caliban. A planet cloaked in vast forests and inhabited by deadly creatures known as the Great Beasts, mutated by the chaotic, unnatural forces. The inhabitants of Caliban were forced to reside in colossal fortresses and castles nestled in the clearings of the planet’s forests. The civilization of Caliban morphed into a semi-feudal state during the Age of Strife, as warp storms severed their ties with Terra and the broader interstellar community.

In this isolated world, the young Lion El’Jonson’s capsule landed deep within the forest, far from the nearest human settlement. His first decade was a grueling trial of survival, pitting him against the hostile flora and fauna of Caliban.

Lion’s existence remained unknown until a nightly patrol discovered the remains of a beast he had slain. Initially mistaken for a creature due to his wild and grimy appearance, Lion was saved from a premature death by Luther, a man who saw beyond the exterior. Luther, taken aback by the sight of the long, yellow-haired being, recognized the intelligence in the green eyes that reflected the forests of Caliban.

In a tense standoff, Luther named the wild youth ‘Lion,’ a name inspired by his impressive mane and the circumstances of their encounter. Luther’s ability to see the man beneath the beast changed the course of history for both Caliban and the Imperium.

Once integrated among the humans, Lion’s exceptional abilities soon surpassed all of Caliban’s inhabitants. He quickly mastered the local language and traditions, showcasing his intellectual and physical prowess. Lion’s rise to power was meteoric. In no time, he was leading the Order, the elite warriors of Caliban.

Stay tuned for the next entry in this multi-part series, where we delve into Lion El’Jonson’s tenure as the leader of the Order and his fights against the Great Beasts of Caliban.
