The Rise of Metalica and Nurgle’s Plague Invasion – Part 3

Title: The Relentless Pursuit of Perfection: Magos Dominus Asmad FAL’s Quest for Technological Supremacy

In the grand archives of the Forge, the chief executor of the Metallic Doctrine is a name that echoes with both awe and apprehension – Magos Dominus Asmad FAL. A renowned tech-priest, FAL is a being whose mind dances on the fine line between madness and genius. His body, though scarred with remnants of biological matter, is a testament to his relentless pursuit of perfection. Each rotting piece of flesh is an offense to the Omnia, a challenge to his research, and a constant reminder of the frailty of organic life. Yet, far from deterring him, these imperfections only strengthen FAL’s resolve.

FAL’s rise through the ranks of the tech-priesthood was as meteoric as it was impressive. He mastered the most complex techno-religious rituals and scientific disciplines early in his career, including long-wave dissonance rays, luminescent replication cauldrons, and the plasma chalice of slaves. Yet, as he replaced more of his flesh with cybernetic implants, the first seeds of discontent began to take root. Everywhere he looked, he saw the imperfections of flesh, even within his own creations.

This paradox led FAL down a new path – studying all forms of life to understand how best to annihilate them. From the largest Tyranids to the most primitive unicellular organisms, all fell under the intense scrutiny of his powerful intellect. Each sample meticulously studied and cataloged before its absolute destruction. FAL believed that by understanding why the Omnissiah permits such matter to exist, he could glimpse the divine plan he so earnestly sought.

FAL’s obsession with creating the perfect machine to honor the Omnissiah led to a host of ill-fated experiments. His creations, the energy spiders designed to cleanse machine spirits and devour rust, and servitor hounds, continue to plague the inhabitants of Metallica. His expansionist activities, methodically depleting organic life to the point of ecological self-destruction on numerous planets, reflect FAL’s unwavering dedication to his cause.

Yet, despite his remarkable expertise, FAL’s actions have not gone without challenge. Ancient warnings from the Age of Strife and the Eucusad War have caused his comrades to fear that the Magos might fall into heresy. However, FAL was given an opportunity to prove himself once more when Metallica decided to revive long-abandoned Adeptus Mechanicus facilities on neighboring planets.

With an army of Catons, combat servitors, and ranks of Electro-priests at his command, FAL embarked on a systematic restoration of worlds. However, the initial victories were soon followed by formidable resistance on Vortx 12, a world where the technology of Crypt Stasis was tested. The revelation that life had firmly taken root on this hostile world, and the brutal attack on his forces, both baffled and excited FAL.

The story of Magos Dominus Asmad FAL is far from over, and his relentless pursuit of perfection continues to shape the galaxy. As we delve deeper into his journey in the next part of this series, we can only wonder at the lengths this extraordinary tech-priest will go in his quest for technological supremacy.
