The Rise of Metalica and Nurgle’s Plague Invasion – Part 12

Welcome back, Warhammer 40,000 enthusiasts! Today, we delve deeper into the tumultuous times of the 77th era, a time where survival hung in the balance, and the stench of war was a constant companion. The battlefields were not just limited to dry land, but spanned the vast emptiness of the cosmos and the deep, mysterious corners of the ocean.

The 77th era bore witness to a monstrous conflict, where our brave defenders faced the grotesque Rotigus and his formidable personal guard of Great Unclean Ones. The Aqua Drilling Installations, the bastions of our oceanic defence, were under relentless assault. The blitz was not limited to the surface of the planet, for the battles raged in the void of space as well. The delay of Lord Traxo Plasma, a key player in our defence, further complicated matters.

Meanwhile, two of the three systems of the Metallic Gates were under relentless assault. Interestingly, Rador remained untouched, a solitary island of calm amidst the chaos. However, elsewhere, the situation was dire. Waves of heretical cultists, renegade bands, and the dreaded Death Guard descended in a terrifying onslaught.

Leading the charge against us was Glossus the Filthy, his presence a blight upon the battlefield. Handpicking several squadrons from his formidable fleet of Plague Ships, he launched a campaign of terror in the Fyro system. His tactics were brutal, his devastation complete.

The Fortress World, a beacon of strength and resilience, was targeted by Glossus. The bombardment was relentless, raining down from orbit with a ferocity that would make lesser beings crumble. A deep-space monitoring station, our eyes in the vast expanse of the cosmos, was obliterated in the battle.

However, amidst the ceaseless pressure and the threat of annihilation, the metallic forces held firm. Their defence was not merely static fortifications. It was a dynamic, evolving strategy that held the line against the tide of corruption and decay.

In the 77th era, hope was a commodity as precious as life itself. As we dive deeper into this time of conflict in our next posts, remember that even in the face of overwhelming odds, the indomitable spirit of the defenders never faltered. Stay tuned for more tales of valor and defiance from the universe of Warhammer 40,000!
