Mortarion’s Plague Wars: Nurgle’s Garden of Death – Part 12

Title: Biologus Putrifiers and Plague Surgeons: The Deadly Artisans of Nurgle’s Disease Forge

In the grim darkness of the Warhammer 40,000 universe, the Biologus Putrifiers, Plague Surgeons, and Plague Marines of the Death Guard are the masterful architects of contagion, meticulously crafting deadly plagues for dissemination across the battlefield. Adorned with arrays of blight grenades, these artisans of affliction hang their latest plague concoctions like grotesque fruit, ripe for the plucking.

Each grenade teems with virulent life, birthed from the disease forges of the Pestilence Labs. As the tumult of combat unfolds around them, these deadly cultivators encourage their brethren, the Plague Marines, to hurl these grenades at the enemy, widening the epidemic with each barrage of thrown explosives.

The Biologus Putrifiers, however, are more than mere observers of this macabre ballet of destruction. With their injector pistols at the ready, they stride into the maelstrom, selecting the most intriguing targets to inject with a concentrated dose of corruption. The outcomes are as ghastly as they are effective: victims erupt in explosive boils, dissolve into shrieking ooze, expel dense clouds of flies, or suffer countless other disgusting and thankfully, fatal manifestations.

But the Putrifiers’ work does not end there. Those victims who meet a particularly intriguing demise are subjected to further study, their corrupted blood extracted for later analysis. Even in death, these unfortunate souls serve the Plague Marines’ foul cause.

Yet, even these masters of disease are not invulnerable. Should a Putrifier fall in battle, his collection of blight grenades may rupture, unleashing a lethal payload of noxious gas that can decimate any nearby not blessed by Nurgle’s protection.

Deep within the Plague Planet, the Pestilence Labs are as bloated and decaying as the entities that wander their halls. Within these horror-filled corridors, the Plague Surgeons, once the healers of the Death Guard, now twisted by Chaos into dark nemeses of their former selves, tend to their sickening craft.

These Surgeons are not healers in the traditional sense. They nurture the diseases that their brethren carry within their decaying forms, their bodies serving as breeding grounds for every variant of pathogen and viral agent. Their mere presence is profoundly infectious, with every exhalation teeming with spores, warp-spawn bacilli, and demon particles.

Armed with chaos-corrupted surgical apparatuses, these Plague Surgeons enhance the virulence of Nurgle’s afflictions in both ally and enemy. Each vile of enhancer and macro-stimulant they carry serves to invigorate Nurgle’s mortal followers while exacerbating the maladies afflicting their foes.

In the twisted world of the Death Guard, the Biologus Putrifiers and Plague Surgeons are the artisans of affliction, the craftsmen of contagion. They gleefully sow Nurgle’s plagues across the battlefield, reveling in the grotesque symphony of destruction their work creates. They are the masters of the disease forge, the deadly heralds of Nurgle’s rotting blessings.
