Welcome back to our ongoing exploration of the Warhammer 40,000 universe. Today, we delve deeper into the mystery surrounding the primary locations Beta and Ultra in the Third region of the Zeno device. These perplexing installations, speculated by the astute Barabus Dantioch, served as energy generators crucial for the operation of this enigmatic apparatus.
As the plot thickens, it was only later that Bisaria Call could fathom the underlying principles of the installation. It was surprisingly powered by the shards of Katan, held captive within its mechanisms. These revelations took a darker turn when Bisaria discovered that the beacon, integral to the installation, was a tool of the Necrons, facilitating their space travels without the need to enter the warp.
With tensions escalating, the Defenders, nestled within their fortified mountain stronghold, began bracing for an inevitable battle. Their hopes hinged on holding their positions and avoiding the necessity to obliterate the beacon in a desperate gambit.
In another intriguing twist, the warsmith directed The Forest beam towards Captain Kvo’s fleet, which was en route to aid them. This unveiled yet another ability of the beacon – to propel ships along the beam, surpassing the speed of light, drastically accelerating the fleet’s journey. Captain Corvo, fully aware of the dire situation the Defenders of Feros were embroiled in, pushed his engines to the limit, racing against time.
Meanwhile, the remnants of the 199th, having sought refuge in the mountain, along with a squad of Imperial Fists under the command of Polu, were tasked with guarding the labyrinth entrances. Assisting them were two automatons, previously employed by the Mechanicum in their research on the beacon. These humble forces, bolstered by the fortifications and traps engineered by Polu, held their ground, inflicting substantial losses on the enemy.
This triumphant defense by the Loyalists, however, was not destined to last. The plot took a sinister turn with the intervention of warp forces, revealing their vested interests in the battle. A demon, having possessed a librarian’s body, appeared before Gendor Scok, foretelling of his impending demise. The demon offered a tantalizing proposition to the Night Lord – a chance to save himself through cooperation. Skeptical yet desperate, Gendor agreed, marking the beginning of a dangerous alliance.
As the tale continues to unravel, we witness the transformation of the librarian’s body under the warp’s influence into a magical sword, a weapon so fearsome that even Gendor shied away from. Meanwhile, in the vast Throne Room, the Regent of the Imperium found a chilling scene – Conrad Kur seated on his throne with the lifeless body of his genetic son lying at his feet. In the ensuing confrontation, a swift duel erupted, a mesmerizing dance of claws and swords, each Primarch predicting the other’s moves, thanks to their tormented visions of the future.
