A bargain was struck, Morai-Heg gained coveted knowledge from Cain’s blood, and Cain was granted the aspect of the Banshee, a harbinger of woe and death.
The Howling Banshees, the most terrifying of all Aspect Warriors, draw inspiration from this tale. Their unique weapon, the Banshee Mask, is a testament to their deadly prowess. These masks are equipped with slender psychoacoustic amplifiers, transforming mournful battlecries into lethal shockwaves that wreak havoc on the enemy’s central nervous system. This psychoacoustic attack, called the ‘Soul Shattering Scream,’ can stun or even paralyze victims, leaving them helpless against the Banshee’s onslaught.
The Howling Banshees are renowned for their hand-to-hand combat skills. Agile and athletic, they strike with lethal precision, often delivering the killing blow before their enemy can even raise a weapon in defense. The Banshee Mask, coupled with their shuriken pistols and power swords, makes them formidable opponents. These warriors, donned in traditional bone-white garb with helmets frozen in a terrible grimace, seem like the very banshees from ancient legends – pale ghosts whose cries of despair and pain chill the blood. Whether they face Chaos Space Marines, massive Orcs, arrogant Incubi, or clumsy Imperial Guardsmen, all are easy prey before the relentless onslaught of the Howling Banshees.
