Why Are Eldar Aspect Warriors Feared Across the Galaxy? – Part 6

Title: The Dance of Death: Eldar’s Howling Banshees

Embodying the epitome of acrobatic grace and deadly precision, the Howling Banshees are a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield. With a swiftness that makes the wind seem sluggish, these Eldar warriors are known for their signature approach – a headlong dash towards the enemy, performing acrobatic maneuvers to evade incoming fire.

More often than not, these spectral heralds of death are transported by Wave Serpents, Eldar vehicles known for their speed and agility. Like specters rushing through the night, they make their presence known with a chilling wail that freezes the blood of even the bravest souls.

The Banshees’ light armor might seem a foolish choice to some, considering the dangers they hurl themselves into. But for these fearless warriors, opinions of others matter little as they plunge into the fray, leaving their adversaries doomed and dismayed.

The Eldar members of this sisterhood, along with their Exarchs, are second in their skill only to Jane Zar, the founder of the aspect. They learn from her legendary lessons, mastering the graceful dance of the sword, becoming swift and deadly, and utilizing their vocal cords to emit screams that can paralyze an enemy.

Their Exarch’s cry is particularly piercing, an auditory assault that leaves its victims sluggish and dazed, the heart-wrenching wail echoing in their minds long after the Banshees have moved on. Some Exarchs prefer the Executioner, a two-handed power glaive with increased destructive power, while others opt for Mirror Swords, twin blades that weave a deadly web of edges in rotation.

The aspect rune of the Banshees is a rain of tears, symbolizing their deep sorrow for being used as weapons that steal souls and turn blood to ice. Among the most famous shrines of the Howling Banshees are the Shrines of the Shrieking Blade and the Eban Wit, each with their distinct traditions and weaponry preferences.

Jane Zar, the Storm of Silence, is revered as the matriarch of the Howling Banshees. A whirlwind of silver blades, she is the epitome of speed and deadly finesse. Across the galaxy, in every shrine dedicated to her, candles are lit in anticipation of her return.

Jane Zar was the first to learn from Asurmen, the first of the Phoenix Lords. She and her brethren absorbed his teachings, and after accepting the mantle of the Asuman, they spread their combat techniques among the stars.

Today, Jane Zar continues to visit the shrines practicing her combat methods, enhancing the skills of her followers, and enticing new Asuman to the path of the warrior. Her astonishing speed and explosive temperament are reflected in her spiritual successors – The Howling Banshees.

The Banshees owe their name to Jane Zar, who was the first to perfect the technique of the Silent Scream, a psychic sound attack produced by a special mask. This lethal cry has been heard across the galaxy, proving that even the Immortal Servants of the Dark Gods can know fear.

Jane Zar is the most active among the Phoenix Lords in the war against the great enemy. She wields the Blade of Destruction, a long and elegant glaive that cleaves through enemies, blocks counterattacks, and is even used as a pole. Whether leading her banshees in countless battles or assembling armies from across craft worlds, Jane Zar, with a flick of her wrist, sends the silent death into battle.
