In the vast, war-torn galaxies of Warhammer 40,000, there exist individuals whose ambitions go beyond the mere pursuit of power or conquest. Enter Fabius, a character whose life goal is as audacious as it is dangerous – to decode the Emperor’s secrets in creating Aartis and advance their Legion on the path to Perfection.
An advocate of evolution, Fabius was unafraid to voice his ideas, even in the face of death. His views found fertile ground in Fulgrim, who, seduced by the promise of a more perfect flesh, granted Fabius unlimited resources to pursue his experiments. This marked the inception of a new era of treachery, where the pursuit of perfection would transcend the boundaries of morality and ethics.
With the conclusion of The Purge, Fabius had more time for his research. Ensuring utmost secrecy, he settled in an underused Research Center aboard the Andronis, a strike Cruiser under the command of Eidolon. He started with standard Apothecary equipment but, with Eidolon’s blessing, he created numerous unusual medical instruments. The Supreme Commander himself was interested in Fabius’ work, expressing a personal desire to become a subject of his experiments.
In this grim universe, there is no place for vengeance. This is a world infested with Xenos, aliens that reject any civilized negotiations with representatives of humanity. It’s a dog-eat-dog world where any threat must be exterminated for the prosperity of humanity, a principle taught by the beloved Emperor.
There is a captivating dialogue between Sanguinius and Horus, two of the most powerful characters in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. Horus is portrayed as a ruthless yet charismatic leader, ready to eliminate any threat that stands in the way of humanity’s prosperity. His words ring with a sense of conviction and determination that is shared by his loyal followers.
In another part of the universe, Eidolon, having undergone enhancement by Fabius, is about to experience the terrifying reality of his decision. A modified tracheal implant, partially derived from Xenos’ gene, will bond with his vocal cords and allow him to produce a nerve-paralyzing shriek in battle. However, the realization that he is to be implanted with Xenos’ organs horrifies Eidolon. His pleas to cease the operation fall on deaf ears, as Fabius, with a toothy grin, reminds him that it’s too late to back out.
The narrative is a riveting exploration of the lengths to which individuals are willing to go in their pursuit of power and perfection. It’s a tale that blurs the line between ambition and folly, between evolution and perversion. Stay tuned as we delve deeper into the fascinating world of Warhammer 40,000 in the next part of this multi-part series.
