Title: Khârn the Betrayer: A Bloodlust Tale of the World Eaters
In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war, and in the midst of this eternal conflict, few figures cast a shadow as dreadful and awe-inspiring as the legendary Khârn the Betrayer. This World Eater, whose bloodlust is insatiable, has a tally of destruction that includes several Imperial Knights and a Reaver-class Titan.
The tale of the Titan’s downfall is one of pure audacity and raw power. With the Titan out of reach from the ground, Khârn, in a display of sheer determination, scaled a nearby ruined building and made an impossible leap onto the Titan’s shoulder. There, he hacked his way through the armor and hull, laying waste to all within its metallic confines.
The Great Rift’s opening brought a pivotal encounter with the living Saint Celestine. Sensing her immediate presence, Khârn, driven by the ever-present influence of Khorne, embarked on a frenzied search. The two powerhouses met on the battlefield of the oceanic planet Sadria, where even the combined might of the Imperial Fists, Adeptus Mechanicus, and Sisters of Battle could not halt Khârn’s rampage.
In a duel that would fulfill a prophecy both had fervently aspired to, Khârn managed to behead Saint Celestine, further cementing his terrifying reputation. Only the bravest – or perhaps the most desperate – Chaos Warlords dare to summon Khârn into their service, for his allegiance is as unpredictable as his bloodlust. His Axe has often tasted the blood of those who summon him, especially if they no longer prove worthy of his acts or if no enemies remain for him to slaughter.
Among the ranks of the renegade Space Marine bands, Khârn’s reputation precedes him. The only warriors who willingly fight alongside this Mad Butcher are the World Eaters’ Khornate Berserkers. Drawn by legends of Khârn’s bloody deeds, these berserkers live only for slaughter and death. When the time comes for Khorne to demand their skulls, they go joyfully, offering their necks and bellowing the name of their blood God.
A few heretical scholars speculate that Khârn has killed more warriors of the World Eaters Legion than all their enemies combined. The cause of his ceaseless killing spree remains a mystery. Some suggest it’s the bloody madness passed onto him from Angron during the Horus Heresy, while others believe it’s the taint of Chaos that stained his soul when he first turned his gaze to Khorne.
Khârn wields a unique weapon, the Gorechild chainaxe. Its teeth are pulled from the jaws of Mica Dragons from the death world of Luther McIntyre, and its handle is forged from adamantium. In Khârn’s hands, the Gorechild becomes a tool of destruction, capable of cleaving a Space Marine in power armor from head to groin with lethal precision.
Adorning Khârn’s helmet is an archaic device known as the Death Counter. A gift from Warmaster Horus himself, this device overlays digital inscriptions in ancient High Gothic onto Khârn’s field of vision, showcasing the number of kills made during a campaign. It serves as a chilling reminder of Khârn’s insatiable thirst for bloodshed.
Clad in an ancient battered suit of power armor, Khârn embodies the relentless spirit of the World Eaters. Stripped of Imperial symbols and adorned with the red and bronze of the eight-fold path, his armor is a terrifying testament to the World Eaters’ devotion to Khorne. Hanging from his belt and arm, the skulls of his most memorable enemies serve as macabre trophies of his countless victories.
In Khârn’s arsenal, the Archotech Plasma Pistol holds a special place. With a single accurate shot, he can obliterate his enemies, further adding to his formidable reputation as Khârn the Betrayer: the unstoppable force of the World Eaters.
